What length warranty do you offer on your products?

This does vary depending on the products but the majority of what we sell have a minimum 10 year warranty period. Certain parts and components will be covered only by the minimum 12 month warranty period as per NZ Consumer law.

Do your roof window products comply with the new H1 regulations?

All of the skylight we source, either locally manufactured or imported will, for the most part, comply on their own with the new 5th Edition H1 updates. If using the calculation method of compliance then we can generally specify the necessary IGU (glazing unit) to comply with the required R Value. Any R value we supply will be calculated at the correct size and roof pitch as specified in your plans.

Are your products manufactured in New Zealand?

Most of the products we sell are manufactured right in here in New Zealand from a combination of locally and internationally sourced components and raw materials. Keylite roof windows and accessories are sourced from the UK, Maxlight Tubular Skylights are from Australia and the Oskura and Tuttuvetro range of Outdoor Living structures are imported from Europe. Both Sunglaze and Clearvue are also manufactured here in New Zealand.

Do you still have acrylic skylights available?

We are fast running out of being able to access the more common sizes and some are gone altogether. We are able to supply a direct fit replacement made virtually identical to the Classic Fixed Roof Window (powdercoated steel frame with double glazing). Our recommendation is to always upgrade to the double glazed windows and for not much more than a custom moulded acrylic dome from an alternative supplier is definitely the better option.

Can you do custom sizes and colours?

This is where we really excel as a roof window supplier. All of the New Zealand manufactured product we have access to can be customised in size, shape and colour to suit your individual project. There are definitely some scale limitations and of course we can't go bigger than what we can source glass-wise. The best course of action is to talk to your designer who can contact us to sense-check your ideas and we can very quickly provide them with a yes or no answer.

Do you offer installation services?

Absolutely! This is where Unique Skylights all began. We have our own professional team of builders, painters, roofers and electricians to be able to safely and professionally install your products from start to finish.

What regions do you service?

We currently offer installation services in the wider Christchurch area, wider Dunedin district and Central Otago with official installers in each area. We can supply product to the South Island currently and offer island wide freight services. We work closely with builders and architects throughout the South Island so if you live outside of the areas serviced above we can put you in touch with reputable trades nearby and supply them with the necessary information to help you.
